Humans of TapMango: Michael

Humans of TapMango: Michael

Meet Michael! Game of Thrones fanatic, sports enthusiast, and TapMango’s Senior Account Executive and Sales Team Lead! Find out what he loves about working at TapMango, all of the skills he’s picked up during the pandemic, and what kind of shows he’s been watching.

What is your position at TapMango? How has it evolved since you started?

I began as an Account Executive mainly focusing on booking demos for a short period before transitioning into a role where I also conduct my own demos and close merchants to provide them with the best technology on the market! Since then, I’ve been provided with the opportunity to be one of our Senior Account Executives and Sales Team Leads to not only focus on larger accounts, but also the opportunity to assist other members of the sales team in reaching their objectives.

What are some aspects of your role that you really enjoy?

I really enjoy the fact that I get to experience a system that provides so many different benefits to businesses. From being able to increase customer loyalty, communication and acquisition, as well as increase sales in-store, online, and through our customized mobile app that we build for merchants, it truly shows how much of an impact our system has and its ability to generate real revenue for businesses.

Describe your WFH deck situation?

Let’s just say there are A LOT of screens. On my work desk alone I have 4 different screens set up to contact businesses, communicate with my colleagues, view my daily calendar tasks, etc…

What do you do in your spare time? Learn any new skills during quarantine?

During my spare time, I typically like to stay active. I’m a sports enthusiast to say the least. From working out to playing basketball or even dirt biking and wakeboarding I love playing sports and staying active!

What is something your work colleagues don’t know about you?

Something that my work colleagues don’t know about me is that I hate roller coasters – mainly because I’m afraid of heights.

What is one piece of advice you would tell 8 year old you? (on career pursuit, life, laughter and love)

I’d tell my younger self to apply for work at TapMango sooner! On a deeper note, always try to find joy in the little things and don’t stress about minor details. Keeping a healthy mind by surrounding yourself with positive people is key!

Top 3 binge-worthy shows, book series, or movies? (And Why?)

My top 3 binge-worthy shows and movies are easily Game of Thrones, Suits, and Harry Potter. Watch for yourself and you’ll figure out why! Simply AMAZING!
