Halal fast-casual · 70 locations · TapMango customer
How Naz's Halal Food used TapMango loyalty and a branded app to convert third-party orders into owned, higher-margin, repeat customers, growing to more than 180,000 members and 100,000 app users across 70 locations, with six figures in monthly Revenue Boost and a 4.8-star reputation.

The challenge
Naz's Halal Food scaled fast, to 70 locations and counting, but roughly 80% of sales came through delivery and takeout, much of it on third-party platforms. Those marketplaces take a heavy cut of every order, and the customer belongs to them. As the team puts it, the guests ordering through Uber and DoorDash aren't their customers; they can't reach them or win them back.
The challenge was twofold: move orders onto the Naz's Halal Food app to protect franchise margins, and turn one-time delivery orders into owned, repeat relationships across every location.
The solution
Naz's Halal Food built a branded app on TapMango with a simple rewards ladder ($1, $5, and $10 off), win-back, birthday, and referral vouchers, a new paid membership, and online ordering for pickup and delivery. Grand openings now gate the free-food offer behind an app sign-up, and every location is measured on sign-ups per week, with scripts, counter placards, and bag flyers driving downloads.
Move the order onto your app, and you keep the margin and the customer.
Results · Scale & growth
Naz's Halal Food roughly doubled its app users, turning third-party orders into an owned base of customers that it can reach directly.
Six figures in attributed loyalty revenue in a single month, with one seasonal promotion driving six figures on its own.

Inside the program
With its own customer base, Naz's Halal Food runs brand-wide and location-specific campaigns that it could never run through a marketplace: seasonal pushes, a Mother's Day campaign with standout redemption, plus anniversaries, birthdays, and appreciation days at individual stores.
The bigger prize is margin: every order shifted from a third-party platform to the app hands points of profit back to the franchise, money that funds even better offers. Online ordering has more than doubled recently, and the strongest locations share one habit: their teams promote the app at every checkout.
In their words
Gerry HenleyPresident“When somebody asks if a loyalty program is worth it, I wait until I stop laughing, then I say, let me show you what even a small swing off the third-party platforms can do. Do you want that much extra profit in your pocket at the end of the year? Loyalty is everything, but I look at the dollars, and the dollars are significant.”
“Eighty percent of our sales are delivery or takeout, so we have an unhealthy dependence on the third-party platforms. Our main drive is converting those orders to our own app. The financial advantage of the app is the most exciting thing, and owning the customer is the bonus.”
Sean HendersonVP of Operations“Third parties like Uber and DoorDash take a lot from our franchises, and they aren't our customers. I can't reach them or win them back. With the app and TapMango, they become our customer base, and we can run location-specific campaigns for birthdays, anniversaries, and appreciation days. That's why I'm driving the app more and more.”
“Since I came on, we've doubled our app users, and now I can actually see them redeeming and using the app. We're at 100,000 app users and 180,000 total customers, and I think we'll pass 200,000 by the end of the year.”
Naz's Halal Food shows the real math of loyalty: every order you move onto your own app is margin you keep and a customer you own. Take the guest off the third-party platform, and the profit and the relationship both come home.
